Rich Text Control within nested Master Pages

Dec 2, 2007 at 4:18 AM
I am trying to work with this control in a web application that has nested master pages. This control works well when it is not in the content place holder.

I receive this error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." at there lines in ToolBar.cs Does anyone know what I can do to fix this issue.

cssLink.Href = Global.Instance.Resource.GetUrl(this.Page, "AjaxControls.Toolbar.css");
this.Page.Header.Controls.Add(cssLink);

I get the same problem with nested master pages, have you found a workaround?

you guys both built the RTE solution and copied the resulting .dll and .pdb files from the /bin directory on the sample website into your own /bin folder on your website right?

Any success on the fix?

I am getting the same error....

[NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.]
AjaxControls.ToolBar.OnPreRender(EventArgs e) in C:\Documents and Settings\c16ry\My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Projects\RTE\RichTextEditor\ToolBar.cs:190

Also, a point to note is that ...although I am using it in VS2008 the error shows it as Visual Studio 2005-

C:\Documents and Settings\c16ry\My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Projects\RTE\RichTextEditor\ToolBar.cs:190

Thanks....
