.Text sometimes returns HTML escaped

I am not sure if I am missing something but I am getting some behavior with this control which right now makes it unusable and I was hoping it was just user-error on my behalf :)

On a postback I am getting the text out via the .text property on the control.
Now if the control is in Text view then I get back regular un-escaped HTML; if in HTML view I am getting back exactly the same data except it is being HTML escaped.

Is this the way it is supposed to be behaving? If so is there some way I can know on the postback whether I need to un-escape the HTML or not.

If you need more information please let me know.

Thanks for your help (and for letting my play with the control :)

That shouldn't be the case. I remember explicitly fixing that issue. I will take a look at it sometime today and let you know by tomorrow.

Hi skannan,

Did you get a chance to check this out?
If it helps I have assembly version 1.0.2873.31232.

Thanks again.

I'm experiencing the same problem. I ended up running the value though HttpUtility.HtmlDecode method. It seems to leave the un-escaped text intact and converts the escaped text accordingly.
